Commons - Trusted Space - Queen Street

I had the pleasure of interviewing Jonathan Robinson yesterday. Jonathan  (Link to his about page) is the founding force of the Hub in London. The post also links you to the brochure for the Hub what shows you the thinking for how Jonathan and his friends have approached the idea of creating Trusted Space in a major city like London.

I will post my interview on Sunday as the opening interview in a series where I interview people who have opened or who plan to open a Commons in their city/town.

We have our own Commons here on PEI and here is a brochure that explains our thinking - - when you consider that neither Jonathan or us talked before - the similarities in approach are striking. This is partly why I am so excited - this is a powerful and emergent idea that has a life of its own. Jonathan's focus has been how to pull this off in a large expensive city. Ours has been for how to do this in small communities. There is a nice continuum here.
