Workspace + Community = Social Innovation
The Centre for Social Innovation is expanding! In partnership with Urbanspace Property Group, the Centre for Social Innovation will be opening the doors to 10,000 square feet of shared office space & services @ 215 Spadina Avenue. We will provide access to private offices, permanent desks, hot desks, meeting rooms, shared services and virtual tenancy to the social mission community in February 2007!
You can join us!
If
you are a small nonprofit organization, charity, social enterprise,
green business, artist or an individual innovator seeking permanent or
occasional office and desk rental for between 1 and 4 people, you can
be part of our exciting vision!
Being a part of the Centre for Social Innovation means joining a growing community of social innovators that are working to make the world a better place. By working together, we can keep costs low, gain access to shared office services, convene innovative programming and be a part of a synergistic community of people working for social change in a beautiful, hip and healthy space.

- Friday, December 1, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
- Tuesday, December 5, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
- Tuesday, December 19, 3:00pm - 5:00pm
All sessions will be held at Centre for Social Innovation - 215 Spadina Avenue, Suite 120. We will share our vision, tell you about all our great services and amenities, tour the new space, talk pricing and answer your many questions. And for those of you who think that this is a really cool idea and would like to be part of the social innovators community barn raising - we are looking for you too!
The Centre is a non-profit social enterprise and as we scale this shared space and community centre model, we are going to need a lot of help. Here is a list of some of the other things/people that we are looking for - just in case you want to be a part of our vision:
- Partners in Coffee - Yup! Exploring whether to create a fair trade, organic, social enterprise coffee spot at the Centre
- Earth-friendly office spaces and designers - how might we be a showcase for eco-friendly workspaces
- Money - Yup! Of course, there are going to be lots of costs for start up. We are going to be looking for grants, donations, sponsorships and loans - let's talk!
- Technology Partners - VOIP, Wireless, Video Conferencing, Internet - we want to create a dynamic & interactive technology tool set
- Community Conveners -Yes! We are looking for those incredibly dynamic people who can magically bring people together - while keeping them and us organized. We will be posting a position shortly... keep your eyes out!
