Several readers have questioned what it is like to eat less than 30 grams of carbs a day.
Here are my typical meals. About 37 grams of Carbs - so not 30 but close. I sometimes cheat and have a potato adding 30. That's right 1 potato = double my normal ration.
Typical Breakfast - 10.7 Grams - 3 cups of black coffee in the morning + 3 pints of water + 4,000 units of Vitamin D + a Large fish oil pill
2 Fried eggs in bacon fat or other animal fat - 1.1 grams
1/2 a fried tomato - 4
1/3 an onion - 5
3 rashers of high fat local bacon - .3
Fried greens - lettuce/spinach/kale etc - .4
Typical Lunch - beverage water only - 8 grams max
Cold meat - lefovers from a dinner - today cold roast pork - 0
Often tinned sardines/pickled herring/tinned sockeye salmom(wild) - 0
Green leaf salad (Oil and vinegar) - 2
Or Tomato and Onion salad with oil and vinegar 6
Typical Dinner - 12.2 +( 4 glasses of wine @ 1.7 = 6.8) = 19 grams
Meat - or fish - 0
Broccoli - 2.3
Green Beans - 4.9
Roast red pepper - with anchovy and Tomato - 5
I don't snack - I never feel hungry. I used to but not now. I have great energy. I also sleep much better than I used to.
Now this includes a lot of calories as you can see. But its not the calories that are the issue. It is the carbs and their effect on my metabolism.
Not only have I lost 30+ lbs but I have also lost the edema on my face and my man boobs. Man boobs are a product of too much estrogen - not a hormone that is good for any aging person male or female.
