A Poem for our time - David Whyte

One of my favourite modern poets is David Whyte. A friend returned a book of his poems to me last night and this one popped out as being relevant for what is going on in the world right now.

Called Loaves & Fishes from "The House of Belonging"

This is not
the age of information

This not
the age of information

Forget the news
and the radio
and the blurred screen

This is the time
of loaves
and fishes

People are hungry
and one good word is bread
for a thousand
