Are we at the Tipping Point when a crisis in say Saudi Arabia could bring the whole place down? If I was Osama I would key an oil crisis as a lead up to the election and do the House of Bush in for all time. It would be so easy.
With Chins and India coming into the game, only a global recession will take the heat off. We now enter a long period of vulnerability.
Is not our most sensible way out of the Middle East to have "Go to the Moon" strategy to become independent of oil. On PEI this is possible. We have enough wind not only to satisfy our own needs in the season but also to supply much of Atlantic Canada and then pay for those few months when the wind does not blow.
