Win a Side of Smoked Salmon
When my dad did something wrong - he always sent my mother flowers.
It was easy - a phone call away. There was the moment of joy as a huge bunch came in the door and then the let down. After all could the flowers really make up for the latest amorous adventure or the angry outburst?
Flowers are often used by men to attempt to cover up bad behaviour on their part. So sons - if you really love your mum - what would she really like from you?
I asked my mother last week what she would really like for Mother's Day. She has asked me to buy her some smoked salmon. "At my age, I don't have many sensual pleasures left" she said. "Smoked salmon feels like a real luxury!"
So I am getting here the very best from my dear friend Kim Dormaar. As a boy I used to get my salmon from the wonderful food hall at Harrods. It had a texture and taste that I have always longed for - Kim does better. I am not alone in thinking that Kim's salmon may indeed be the best in the world.
Here he is at the market on a Saturday. I asked a customer last week why she buys her Saturday breakfast from Kim. She replied "Its' the treat I buy for myself!"
So here's the deal - help Kim come with with the winner byline - Please use the Comment box to offer your best reason why someone should buy his salmon. Kim will decide what he feels is best and the winner will get a side of salmon. The competition will close on May 13th at midnight.
While you are thinking what to say - check out his site and buy yourself some. Or come down the market next Saturday and get some from Kim himself
