It is clear that Capt Goddard was an exceptional person. I bet she is not alone. I bet that there are lots of Nichola Goddards in the army now and maybe others who would join, if the challenge was altered a bit. And I don't mean reduced.
It is also clear that the fuzzy line that tries, in some armies, to keep women soldiers out of harms way is silly and insulting.
What if the PPCLI created an all volunteer all female company? What kind of woman would aspire to be part of the most elite unit in our army? What would such a unit to to lift the performance of the entire army?
"Oh, women are too small and weak" some say. Really! Not the ones that I know. And by the way the Vietnamese were small and weak too.
What about "G" Company (Goddard Company) - a band of sisters?
