I am sure that many of you who my regular readers may be asking "So What?" as I pound away at why I think that Michael Rose's 55 Theses are so important. Much of the content in the 55 is aimed at the science community and we have done this to ensure that there is no way that the major conclusions that affect you and I can be questioned.
So then what are some of the straightforward take aways for you and me that you and I can act on.
There are many: but here is a big one for those of us who are First Nations or of Scots and Irish descent.
No other groups can get back their natural good health more quickly. No other groups can plateau their aging earlier and in a more fit state. Just as we have suffered the most, we can gain the most.
Why? Because we are the least adapted to agriculture and also come from relatively small and discrete populations (lots of science in the 55 Theses if you want to understand the linkage)
We add in Scots and Irish because we are Celts (I am pure Scots all the way back). The Celts were the non agricultural peoples who were pushed back to the fringes of Europe by the Farmers. We are the least adapted to the Agricultural diet of any native European group. Of course the First Nations people have only been exposed to the agricultural diet for 100 + years.
All of us are doing very badly on the industrial diet. We are the most likely to become obese, get Type 2 Diabetes and age badly.
That is the bad news. But there is good news.
The racial group that has the most upside to get control of their health are the First Nations People and the next group are the Celts - the First Nations of Europe.

So if we return to our traditional diet and use all the advantages of modern life - soap - medicine etc - we have the best shot of all to be well and to postpone the ravages of aging that now oppress us.
A lot to play for. So what to do?
Try it. That's what I did. Try giving up industrial and agricultural foods for a month. See how you feel and see what happens to your body.
