Boingo - Accidental Benefit - A Public WiFi Network?

So if I had my iPhone and Skype and Boingo - I would have access to WiFi all the time I was downtown. Same with my laptop and iPad.

Is this a future with Boingo? When the number of Hotspots hits a critical mass in place - you are now part of a large trusted network all for the price of your monthly subscription.
