When you see this - I think you see the underlying trend from analog to digital and then digital to shared on line. It is just music but we see this is all aspects of life.
All designs now are digital. Once digital, they can be shared. They want to be shared. This is why software is going Open Source. This is why a digital market will emerge for food. This is why even manufactured good will go down this road.
Soon I anticipate Common Digital Design resources "Forges". Using 3D Printers, people will realize the design locally and assemble locally - Mass Customization!
