This week Patrick Ledwell completed a very successful project on Indiegogo to finance his new book. The details below.
I think that this is a model that we can use on PEI to "Crowd Fund" projects that we like. For until now, you would have had to go to a bank or to Government. Both are hard to do - take a long time - and have many burdens attached.
This way we can keep our money in the community and have a real relationship with the person. Many of us have pre bought Patrick's Book - the big prize is a for a group who have signed Patrick up to perform for them and their staff. There is no end to how inventive we can be.
Watch this space as there are a couple of interesting projects that get at the core of our food system and at the needs of our kids in the discussion stages.
