Big companies on the S & P used to last on the index for almost as long as a human life. Now it looks like 20 years might be a long time. Why?
I think the answer is that organizations run on linear lines are not sustainable in a more compex world. The web has created the complexity by making so many connections.
The traditional organization is Newtonian. The world is a complex network. Newton dies in complexity.
So if you are creating a new company, how do you organize? Are you building using Newtonian rules or Network rules? No guesses as to how long you will last if you make the wrong choice.
