What are we trying to do other than have fun?
One of my favourite radio shows is Desert Island Discs - it has been on the air for generations so it is liked by others as well as me. I think we like it because when people choose 8 pieces of music that mean a lot to them - something happens to the chooser and to us the audience. The guest has to select of all the music they love, the 8. So the guest discovers something about themselves - parts of their inner self are revealed maybe for the first time.
We love the show because when people dig into themselves - universal themes also emerge. A connection is made.
I hope that our guests and our visitors will have the same kind of experience as we choose the moments in film that mean a lot.
